Beckwith Road Breakfast

Cinnamon French Toast
simple ingredients, stunning results (don't get caught licking your plate)

Cinnamon Syrup
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup evaported milk or cream (I use 1-12 ounce can for syrup and French toast, more economical)

In a medium saucepan, add the sugar and cinnamon. Stir then add corn syrup and water. Combine ingredients with a whisk and place over medium-high heat. Stir continuesly while syrup boils 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Turn off stove and stir in the evaporated milk or cream. Set aside to cool while you make the French toast. It's that easy! This syrup is also good over warm apple pie a la mode or just over plain vanilla ice cream. Who knew syrup could be so easy.
